I trained as a graphic designer (predominantly editorial work; I design mainly for the Guardian in London). It's interesting and rewarding, but the art here is unmediated by other requirements which makes it more about me.

Having said that, with watercolour I consider myself to be the delivery system only. The water, paint, paper and brushes interact in the most wonderful way – determined by nature/physics – and I'm there just to steer and curate.
