Paintings
The paintings are on paper. The paper stock varies, but is white or just off-white.
The paintings are offered unframed. In many cases there is generous white space around the work which you are at liberty to keep or have cropped away according to your liking during framing. While the white space is desirable in my view - I prefer it - it comes about as a result of my being led by the composition rather than me having a set target. I build up the paintings, allowing the water and paint to decide where things lead. While the white space around the elements must undoubtedly play a part in determining my stopping point, I'm not then wedded to how much of it remains once it's in your hands.
Prints
Limited edition prints are made by the giclée method, using high quality Epson printing on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Unlike the original watercolour, the white space in these prints will be cropped down to accommodate a standard A3 format, the composition positioned appropriately.
The paintings are delivered by first class Royal Mail from the UK. Postage and packing will be charged at £12 to the UK and £25 worldwide. Special Delivery, offering a tracking service, is available on request.
Paintings and prints will be delivered either in a sturdy cardboard tube or stiffened envelope, and protected with acid-free tissue paper or an acetate sleeve.
Delivery
Originals and limited edition prints can be signed on the front or back according to your preference.
You will be prompted to decide this upon ordering.
NB If my signature is requested on the front it will be tucked up next to the composition in some discreet way.
